Co-Artistic Director

Shanna Smith

Shanna Smith started performing in plays at age twelve, when she played the prudish villainess Miss Eagleye in Milliken Middle School's production of "Hospital." (She wore pumps for the first time and felt very tall.) Since that time, she's performed in somewhere around 30 plays, including 14 by Shakespeare. Along the way, she also earned a Ph.D. in the social sciences, and she currently works as a research and statistical consultant at the University of Texas at Austin. She has at last attained a happy balance between her three passions: research, collaboration, and creativity.
